L'EPEE TWIN DIAL CARRIAGE CLOCK L'Epee, Sainte Suzanne, France. Made in the late 20th century. Fine, small, two-time-zone, gold-plated carriage clock with twin dials and twin independent 8-day going movements.
Rectangular, 'corniche', glazed on four sides and the top, two back doors, hinged handle. White enamel with two meantime dials, each with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Black Breguet hands. Two movements, each with rectangular gilt plates, four pillars, spring barrel fort he going train, straight line lever escapement on a gilt platform, monometallic balance with flat balance spring, shock absorber, index regulator.
