Notes

Richard Mille is THE watch industry success story of the last 20 years. A brand that has tried and succeeded in everything, whether it be shapes, complications or materials. The independent watchmaker has been combining audacity and technical virtuosity. Since Rolex, and the "commercial" genius of Hans Wildorf, no one has been better at reinvigorating watch marketing than Richard Mille, notably through collaborations with Felipe Massa, Rafael Nadal, Mutaz Barshim, Charles Leclerc, Ferrari, McLaren, etc. In this way, Richard Mille has become associated with the world of sport and the automobile, establishing an image of surpassing oneself and of technology.

'For a long time, I wished to launch my own brand. I wanted to create a new business model, far removed from traditional marketing strategies, something totally original.
My goal was to create a new, ultra-high-end luxury segment within the high-end watch business, and I was very eager to know what could come of it.'
RICHARD MILLE

The 24 Hours of Le Mans (24 Heures du Mans) is an endurance-focused sports car race. Run since 1923, it is one of the world's most prestigious car races and the oldest active endurance racing event in the world. It is held annually in June near the town of Le Mans in France. Alongside this event, in 2002, Peter Auto, in association with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, created Le Mans Classic, a biennial vintage sports car event which offers a stunning retrospective of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans at the end of June. Richard Mille is partner and official timekeeper of the Le Mans Classic.
