TIR CANTONAL CENTENAIRE 1814 - 1914 Le Phare, (C. Barbezat-Baillot, Locle), No. 81181. Made circa 1914. Fine and rare, quarter-repeating, nielloed silver, keyless pocket watch commemorating the Tir Cantonal du Centenaire, Genève- Suisse, 1814 - 1914. Accompanied by the original fitted box.

Four-body, "demi-bassine", bezel, band and bow with oak, laurel and berry damascened decoration, the back decorated with the arms of Geneva within an oak and laurel leaf border. Hinged silver cuvette further engraved with the arms of Geneva. White enamel with black Breguet numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. 19"', frosted gilt, 23 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a button in the band.
