LE PHARE QUARTER-REPEATING TRIPLE CALENDAR & CHRONOGRAPH FOR THE RUSSIAN MARKET PINK GOLD Le Phare (C. Barbezat-Baillot, Locle), "Répétition Triple Quantieme Phases de Lune", case No. 74758. Made for the Russian market, circa 1910. Fine, large, hunting-cased, keyless, quarter-repeating, 14K (56 Zolotniks) pink gold pocket watch with triple-date calendar, chronograph and moon phases.
Four-body, bassine et filets, engine-turned with polished borders. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with prize medals and technical details. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost fifths of a second divisions, subsidiary seconds dial and date dial, apertures for the days of the week, months (in Cyrillic) and moon phases. Gilt Louis XV hands. Cal. 20''', frosted gilt, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, centrifugal governor, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a push-button on the band. Case numbered, cuvette signed "Le Phare".
