LIP - MINUTE REPEATING WATCH WITH ORIGINAL BULLETIN DE MARCHE & RECEIPT Lip (Lipmann, Besançon), Chronomètre Repètition, No. 98061. Sold by M. Tripet, Toulouse, on May 23rd, 1910 to Auguste Chalon for 425 Francs. Fine, large, hunting-cased, keyless, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with chronograph. Accompanied by the original Lip Bulletin de Marche and receipt.
Four-body, bassine, polished, both covers with foliate engraved monogram 'AC', olive-shaped button at 2 for the chronograph. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and outermost fifths of a second divisions, inner red 24-hour numerals, subsidiary seconds dial. Gold spade hands. 43 mm. frosted gilt, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, centrifugal governor, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Case numbered.
