Notes

The "Doppio Lancetta" is one of the most iconic models made by Longines alongside their navigator watch, the Weems. Characterised by an oversize waterproof case and a large red chronograph hand that counts the minute, most of these models were delivered to the US through the Longines Wittnauer distributers. This example has the matching numbers on the caseback and the lugs, as it should be. It is further engraved 372E, which, according to our research indicates that after the watch was delivered it was issued to the 372nd Engineer group which was originally founded in 1928. A rare opportunity to acquire a military issued 5699 in completely original condition.
