Part of the series of dirty dozen watches ordered by armies for military use, the Longines Ref. 5707 (23 088) was their answer to this request. Fitted in a 37 mm. screw-down case-back and fitted with a chronometer grade calibre 12.68 Z movement, it was the only brand of the 12 that fitted its movement with shock protection.
