Case-back engraved with the mention “Longines Centenaire / 1867-1967 / à ses fidèles collaborateurs” (Longines Centenary, 1867-1967, to its faithful collaborators).

The movement No. 12 572 106 (Cal. 280) was originally cased in a stainless steel wristwatch, Ref. 6883. This watch was destroyed in 1965; the movement refurbished in 1968.

It is not known when this movement was placed in the current case.
