YELLOW GOLD HUNTING CASED POCKET WATCH Swiss, No. 4656, retailed by J.R. Losada, 105 Regent Street, London. The case with London hallmarks for 1860-61. Fine and rare, 18K yellow gold, key-wound pocket watch.
Four-body, bassine, master mark AS, entirely decorated with flowers and foliage. Hinged gold cuvette with apertures for winding and setting surrounded by foliate engraving. Foliate engraved silver with painted radial Roman numerals, subsidiary sunk seconds dial, outer applied gold foliate border, the center with a basket of flowers. Blued steel fleur-de-lys hands. Cal. 17```, gilt brass, three-quarter plate, fusee and chain, jeweled to the third wheel and with screwed chatons, counterpoised lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, diamond endstone, index regulator.
