Notes

Boubon He established his business in 1806 at Palais du Tribunal. Four years later, in 1810, he moved to the Galerie de Pierre in the Palais Royal, where he remained until 1820. In 1830 we find him at Galerie Colbert. It is interesting to note that he followed in the footsteps of the famous Oudin, who in 1804 was established at the Palais du Tribunal, and in 1810 moved to the Galerie de Pierre, where he also stayed for ten years. The Musée International d'Horlogerie in La Chaux-de-Fonds has a watch made by Boubon. Another watch by Boubon was sold by Antiquorum, Zurich, The Private Collection of Theodor Beyer, November 16, 2003, Lot 42. The present lot was previously sold by Antiquorum Hong Kong, on June 10, 1995, lot 186.
