Louis Audemars, No. 10317, made for Charles Oudin, Horloger de la Marine, 52 Palais Royal, Paris, No. 23510, circa 1870. Very fine and rare 18K gold small hunting cased, keyless quarter repeating pendant watch.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets " , engineturned, the cover engraved with a monogram en reserve. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade " hands. M. 12"', gilt brass, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the cuvette, Louis Audemars Trade mark on the case. Diam. 33 mm.
