Unsigned, French, No. 2716, circa 1890. Fine gilt bronze quarter repeating, eight day going "mignonette" carriage clock with champleve enamelled decoration.

C. Gilt bronze "Anglaise " , glazed front top and back door, side panels with chased flowers and foliage over white and azure champleve enamelled ground. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. champleve enamelled dial plated with foliage engraved decoration. M. Gilt brass rectangular with going barrel, silvered platform with lateral lever escapement, uncut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gong with independent mechanism armed by depressing the button on the top. Dim. 7,5 x 5 x 4,5 cm. excluding the handle.
