Unsigned, French, Patented S.G.D.G., Examined by Lund & Blockley, 42 Pall Mall, London, circa 1890. Fine and rare gilt bronze eight day going "mignonette" carriage clock with unusual hour and half hour striking mechanism.

C. Gilt bronze "cannelee" glazed four faces and top. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Brass rectangular with double toothed single going barrel for both the going and the striking trains, silvered platform with lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring with regulator, striking hours and halves on the bell in the base, with striking work on the back plate. Signed on the base of the case. Dim. 7,4 x 5,3 x 4,7 cm. excluding the handle.
