Henri Jacot, Paris, circa 1880. Fine gilt bronze, eight day going, "Grande and Petite sonnerie", quarter repeating carriage clock with alarm, in original fitted travelling box.

C. Gilt bronze "Gorge" , glazed on four sides and top. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and subsidiary alarm setting dial. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Brass rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring. Striking, repeating and alarm on gongs with button on the top and Grande/Petite sonnerie, Strike/Silent lever in the base. Henri Jacot Trademark on the back plate. Dim. 14 x 9 x 8 cm., excluding the handle.
