Unsigned, Japanese, made in February 1817. Very fine iron and brass hour striking weight driven lantern clock.

C. Posted frame with brass front side and back panels, bell and foliot at the top. D. Brass revolving with graduation changing according to the seasons. Fine fixed pointer. Small aperture for the date above the dial. M. Iron going train with dumb-bell foliot. Hour striking on the large top bell with iron train and locking plate. Production date written in Japanese on the left side of a pillar. Dim. 38 x 13 x 13 cm.
