Gaugron a Paris, circa 1690. Fine gilt brass Louis XIV "oignon" with central winding and enamel cock.
C. Double body "oignon", engraved with interlaced decoration and birds, the back with a glazed cock aperture. D. Gilt brass with champleve Roman numerals, the centre chased with birds, cherub's heads and foliage. Blued steel single hand. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, short flat balance spring, rack and pinion regulator, the cock wit a fine later enamel panel painted with the portrait of a maiden. Signed on the back plate. Diam. 59 mm.
