C. Four body, massive, "demi-bassine", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 18"', gilt brass with puch-mark in form of a viper's head set by the Observatory of Besancon, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring.
