Le Roy, Horloger du Roy, No. 3502, circa 1820. Fine and rare, 18K gold, quarter repeating watch with the unusual Le Roy, keyless winding and hand setting device.
C. Three body, Empire, by J.F. Desenclos (Marter mark), with reeded band and engine-turned back. Hinged gilt brass cuvette with apertures for winding and hand setting knurled buttons. D. Silver engine-turned with Roman numerals on a polished chapter ring. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 22"' gilt brass with free standing barrel set with the winding button, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with parachute suspension, flat balance spring with bimetallic compensation curb on the index. Repeating on square polished steel gongs by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial and cuvette. In very good condition. Dian. 55 mm.
