F.L. Godon, Reloxero de Camara de S.M.C. (Sa Majeste Catholique, the King of Spain), made by Lallemand, No. 506, circa 1805. Extraordinary, and historic 18K gold and enamel half-quarter repeating watch with special striking and special escapement, made for the King of Spain.
C. Three body massive, Empire, by Tavernier (master mark) No. 1908 with reeded band, the back panel with the champleve enamelled Arms of the King framed by the Golden Fleece Royal Collar over a black ground with azure champleve border with leaf decoration. Gilt brass hinged cuvette. D. White enamel by Vincent (signed on the enamel backing) with gilt Breguet numerals. Gold engravedt hands with skeletonized tip. M. Gilt brass, blanc by Logeat 1'Aine, dated 1803, Lepine caliber with skeletonized and partly engraved bridges, free standing barrel, Robin detent-lever escapement with gold escape wheel and a roller engaging the fork of the lever, plain gold three armed balance, flat balance spring with Breguet type bimetallic compensation curb. Half-quarter repeating on large polished steel gongs by depressing the pendant. Signed Godon on the dial and cuvette, signed Lallemand on the movement, signature of Logeat 1'Aine with date, concealed in the movement. In very good condition. Diam. 56 mm.
