Unsigned, Swiss, circa 1820. Fine 18K gold, half skeletonised, quarter repeating watch with automaton Jacks.

C. Three body, Empire, with reeded band and polished back. Gilt brass hinged cuvette. D. Small white enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. Driven by the repeating work, three-coloured gold automaton Jacks on each side of the dial, strike hours and quarter on two bells above. Gilt brass dial plate fully engraved with scrolls with applied visible polished steel repeatin work. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, the back plate with a gilt brass plate engraved with foliage, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance and flat balance spring. Polished steel cock with polished steel end-piece. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Apocryphal signature on the gilt cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
