La Roy, Paris, Swiss, circa 1815. Fine and unusual large 18K gold, half skeletonised, diamond-set quarter repeating watch with automaton Jacks and a small concealed erotic automaton scene.

C. Three body, Empire, bezels and band set with rose-cut diamonds, the back entirely covered with large rose-cut diamonds set in a sunburst pattern over an engine-turned ground. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. D. Small white enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals. Blued steel "scotties" hands. Flanked on each sides of the dial over the polished and blued steel repeating work set on the engineturned gilt brass front plate, "Martin-Martine" type vari-coloured chased gold Jacks, strike the hours and quarters on two bells. A small blued steel panel below the dial with an applied small automaton goat, grazing vine branches, disclose the small automaton erotic scene driven by the repeating train. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel endpiece. Repeating on two gongs by depressing the pendant. Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 62 mm.
