Dent, Watchmaker to the Queen, 33, Cockspur Street, London, Swiss, No. 22747, made for the English Market, circa 1890. Fine and unusual 18K gold hunting cased, keyless watch with split-seconds chronograph and 30 minute instantaneous recorder.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with eccentric small Roman hour and minute chapter ring, symmetrical minute register, split-seconds chronograph ring on border of the bezel (slightly restored). M. 18"', frosted and gilt, three-quarter plate, 23 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Split-seconds chronograph with push-pieces in the band. Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 51 mm.
