Bovet, Fleurier, No. 2411, Swiss, made for the Turkish Market, circa 1850. Very fine and rare 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set centre second watch with special calibre and escapement.
C. Three body, Empire, the band with champleve enamelled decoration, split-pearl set bezels, pendant and bow, the back enamel panel painted with a fine composition of Summer flowers on a light blue ground. Hinged gold glazed cuvette. D. White enamel with Turkish numerals (slightly restored). Blued steel "trefle" hands. M. Gilt brass, Tixier "Chinese" calibre fully engraved with a scrolled foliage decoration and with gold festoon cut cloisonne enamelled bridges and barrel cover, with free standing barrel, single wheel duplex escapement with polished steel escape wheel the three-arm balance with wedge shaped and partly blued steel weights, flat balance spring and regulator. Bovet's Chinese signature engraved inside the back. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
