Notes

Golden Equation of time The third hand, at the centre of the movement, shows the value of the difference between the average sun time (civil ti me) and the real sun time, calculated by the Calibre UG 90. The value of the sun equation changes every day of the year. The smallest time lag (+4 minutes and 16 seconds) is observed on the 11 of February and the 4th of November (-16 minutes and 24 seconds). Four times a year, the time equation is nil, and this means that the average sun time and the real sun time coincide. These days are the 16th of April, the 9th of June, the 2nd of September and the 25th of December.
