V. Bousset, No. 525, France, circa 1880. Fine and rare gilt bronze, "Grande and Petite Sonnerie", quarter repeating carriage clock with alarm, retrograde days of the week and thermometer, in original fitted travelling box.
C. Gilt bronze, "Gorge", glazed on four sides and top. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring, subsidiary alarm setting dial flanked by the thermometer and the vertical scale for days of the week. Blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt brass dial plate engraved with floral and foliage decoration. M. Brass, rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking train, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, uncut bimetallic balance, blued-steel flat balance spring. Striking and repeating on gongs, alarm on a bell all in the base, with visible striking wor on the back plate button on the top and optional strike/silent lever on the back plate. Bousset trademark on the platform escapement and back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 14 x 10 x 8,5 cm. excluding the handle.
