Unsigned, made for the Islamic Market, circa 1670. Very fine oval silver pair cased, pre-balance spring watch.

C. Outer, two body, oval with hinged cover, intirely chased with flowers and foliage. Inner brass without bezel, made as a dust cap with hinged silver bow, designed to fit in the outer case. D. Gilt brass chapter ring with Turkish numerals applied on the gilt brass dial-plate overlaid with a thin silver platevery finely pierced and engraved with strawberry flower and foliage. Blued steel single hand. M. Hinged oval gilt brass full plate with pierced quatrefoil pillars, the back plate overlaid with a pierced and engraved silver decoration matching that of the dial. Fusee with gut-line, three-wheel train with verge escapement, plain two-arm steel balance without spring, florally pierced gilt brass cock with triangular foot. In very good condition. Dim. 65 x 57 mm.
