C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets" with reeded band, marked "S.S." (Samuel Saltmarsh), cover and back with blue translucent enamel panels over engine turning, engraved surround with scalloped edges, the cover centered with trophies of gardening, the back with military trophies, large rose-cut diamond set on the winding crown. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blue steel "spade" hands. M. 22"', frosted and gilt, three quarter plate with going barrel, 15 jewels partly in screwed settings, pivoted detent escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel helical balance spring with terminal curves and regulator. Signed on the movement. In very good condition. Diam. 60 mm.
