?The Polo Players? Swiss, No. 10384. Made for M.J. Pack, Bombay & Paris, for the Indian market, circa 1900. Fine, minute repeating, astronomic, 18K frosted gold, painted on enamel and rose diamond-set hunting-cased keyless pocket watch with triple date, moon phases, chronograph and a fine 18K gold fancy-link chain.
C. Four-body, ?bassine?, frosted, the front cover with a fine painted on enamel portrait of a polo player within a horse-shoe set with eight rose-cut diamonds, the back cover decorated with a finely painted on enamel scene of two polo players on their horses, rose diamond ?ball?, engraved leaves and fence below set with eight rose-cut diamonds. Hinged gold cuvette inscribed with the technical details. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and concentric fifths of a second track calibrated to 300, subsidiary seconds, day of the week and date dials, apertures for the months and moon phases. Gold ?Louis XV? hands. M. With glazed gold-rimmed cover, 18''', frosted gilt, 30 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulation, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band.
