?Minute Repeat? James Mc Cabe, Royal Exchange, London, No. 05406. Case by Alfred Stram with London Hallmarks for 1872-3. Very fine and rare, small 18K yellow gold half huntingcased minute repeating pocket watch with duplex escapement.
C. Five-body, "bassine", engine-turned, cover with aperture and enameled Roman chapters, reeded band. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and subsidiary seconds. Gold ?spade? hands. M. 16''', frosted gilt, half-plate, jeweled to the third in screwed chaton, fusee and chain, duplex escapement with ruby roller, gold escape wheel with endstones in screwed chatons, diamond endstone, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold and platinum timing screws, blued steel flat balance spring, repeating on gongs via slide in the band. Dial case and movement signed and numbered. Diam. 45 mm.
