Very fine and exceptionally rare, small, 18K yellow gold, astronomical, hunting-cased, minute-repeating keyless pocket watch with perpetual calendar, chronograph and phases and age of the moon.
C. Four-body, massive, "bassine", polished, sprung and hinged front cover, hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute and seconds divisions and Arabic five seconds numerals, sunk subsidiary four year dial divided into four sectors, each with month indications, sunk subsidiary date and day of the week dials, subsidiary seconds with age of the moon, aperture for moon phases, setting levers in the bezel. Blued steel ?spade? hands. M. 35 mm (15 1/2'''), rhodium plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 36 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, steel chronograph work activated by pushpiece in the band, repeating with two hammers on two gongs via activating slide in the band. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 42 mm.
