?Military Trophy? Daniel de Saint Leu, Watchmaker to Her Majesty, London, No. 7850. Made for the Islamic Market, circa 1810. Very fine 18K multicolored gold pair-cased, quarter repeating pocket watch.

C. Outer, two-body Louis XVI, the bezels with applied multicolored floral and foliage decoration, the back chased with an urn of flowers and military trophies. Inner two-body "bassine", with pierced and engraved foliate decoration. D. White enamel with Islamic numerals, outer minute track with Islamic five minute numerals. Gold "beetle and poker" hands. M. 41 mm, hinged gilt-brass fill plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring and English gilt-brass pierced and engraved cock with polished steel end-piece. Quarter repeating on a bell activated by depressing the pendant, Gilt-brass dust-cap. Dial, movement and dust cover signed. Diam. 59 mm.
