?Oeil de Boeuf? Frizon A Paris. The movement made circa 1775. Fine and rare, pull-wind quarter repeating with three hammers on two bells, eight day going, gilt bronze ?Oeil de Boeuf? wall clock.

C. Drum form, hinged beaded bezel, concave surround with applied cast and chased leaf and berry mounts and an upper central cartouche, beaded border, ribbon and loose ring pendant for wall mounting. D. White enamel with upright Arabic numerals, outer dot minute track and Arabic quarter hour numerals. Pierced and engraved gilt brass hands. M. 11.5 x 8.5 cm., gilt brass with shaped base, four vase shaped pillars, large centrally positioned going barrel, verge escapement, silk suspension, pull-wind quarter repeating with three hammers mounted on vertical sprung posts within a sub-frame at the side, two bells mounted above the movement. Movement signed. Dim. 24 x 11 cm.
