Notes

At the time this watch was made, Gruen was in partnership with Rolex. The company?s official name was ?Société Anonyme Fabrique des Montres Rolex & Gruen Guild?. Gruen watches of the period were of the same quality as Rolex, sometimes even better. The lavishness of its case and the superior quality of its movement suggest that the present watch was destined for a horological exhibition.
