Wise, London, No. 16101, circa 1700. Fine, gilt brass and tortoiseshell pocket watch with gold champlevé dial.

C. Two-body, later, back and bezel covered with tortoiseshell and decorated with studs, brass shutter for the winding aperture. D. Gold, champlevé, radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring with five-minute Arabic numerals on polished oval cartouches, center chased with foliate scrolls, signature cartouches and a winged angel's head. Blued steel ?beetle and poker? hands. M. 41 mm, gilt full-plate with large divided Egyptian pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, under-sprung plain three-arm steel balance with flat balance spring, single-footed winged cock pierced and finely engraved with symmetrical stylized foliage, mask in the neck, rack and pinion regulator with silver dial. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 56 mm.
