C. Three-tier, the top lid opening for the glazed viewing port, brass fittings and gimbals, screwed-down bezel. D. Silvered with champlevé radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds and power reserve dials. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 64 mm, gilt brass, full-plate, ring-turned cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, Harrison's maintaining power, wheels with five crossings, Earnshaw's chronometer escapement with spring footed detent with jeweled locking stone, the escapement jewelled, bimetallic ?Z? balance with cylindrical compensation weights and peripheral temperature and timing adjustment screws, free-sprung white metal helical balance spring with terminal curves, diamond endstone. Dial signed. Dim. 17.5 x 16 x 16 cm.
