?Independent Split-Seconds? J(ules) Huguenin, Locle (Swiss), No. 11925. Made circa 1880. Very fine and unusual, hunting-cased, keyless, 18K yellow gold independent split-seconds watch with 1/4 seconds foudroyante.

Cal. 20???, maillechort, ?fausses côtes? decoration, double train, 25 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, independent split-seconds train with pushpieces on the band. Jules Huguenin Lived and worked in Locle in Switzerland?s Jura Mountain area during the second half of the 19th century. He specialized in complicated watches with double trains, split-seconds chronograph watches and watches with a ?foudroyante? or ?diablotine? feature.
