?Independent Split-Seconds? J(ules) Huguenin, Locle (Swiss), No. 11925. Made circa 1880. Very fine and unusual, hunting-cased, keyless, 18K yellow gold independent split-seconds watch with 1/4 seconds foudroyante.
C. Four-body, solid, ?bassine et filets?, solid, polished, hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, 1/5th seconds chronograph divisions, sunk 1/4 seconds diablotine. Blued steel ?Breguet? hands. M. Cal. 20???, maillechort, ?fausses côtes? decoration, double train, 25 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, independent split-seconds train with pushpieces on the band. Dial and movement signed, case numbered. Diam. 56 mm.
