?1/4 Seconds Foudroyante? Poitevin Fabricant, No. 15986. Made for Tiffany & Co., New York, circa 1880. Very fine and unusual, hunting-cased, keyless, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with double train and independent center-seconds with 1/4 seconds foudroyante and stop feature.

White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost 1/5th seconds timing divisions, sunk 1/4 seconds subsidiary dial for the ?diablotine?. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. M. Cal. 20''', maillechort, "fausses côtes" decoration, double train with differential winding and gold wheels, 32 jewels, straight line counterpoised and calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, independent train with push button on the band to stop the center-seconds and ?diablotine? hands.
