Patel< Philippe & Cie., Geneve, No. 109856, case No. 223714, made for Shreve, Crump & Low Co., Boston, circa 1900. Very fine 18 ct. gold keyless pocket chronometer with bulletin from the Geneva Astronomical Observatory for the timing contest of 1899.

C. Four body, massive, "demi-bassine", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 18"', "Extra quality", nickel plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 21 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, "Extra" adjustment by C. Batifolier, blued steel Breguet balance spring with Patek Philippe patented micrometric index. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In very good condition, with certificate and photocopies of the records of the timing contest. Diam. 47 mm.
