Patel< Philippe & Cie., Geneve, "Ora Fixa" No. 191397, case No. 395653, model "Torpedo", ref.612, made in 1919, sold on 8th December 1943. Fine chromium plated, keyless shop chronometer with centre seconds, awarded the "Mention Honorable" at the Geneva Astronomical Observatory for the timing contest in 1928.

C. Three piece, strut on the reverse. D. Silvered with Arabic numerals and outer Arabic minute and seconds ring. Blued steel "feuilles" hands. M. 21-, rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 20 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, brass-invar Guillaume balance adjusted by J. Golay-Audemars, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve and swan neck micrometric index. Stop button in the band. Signed on the case and movement. In very good condition, with certificate and photocopies of the records of the timing contest. Diam. 120 mm.

Such chronometers were made by Patek Philippe to display the exact time in their retailers shops. Timing Contest : - S 10.16 - Restart period + 0.72 - Error of compensation per degree C +/- 0.078 - S' 2.20 With 608 marks, this chronometer was the 52nd out of 53 classified with more of 600. The first in the trial gained 844 and the last 601, on a possible maximum of 1000. 67 chronometers were entered for the contest.
