Bovet, Fleurier, No. 186, Swiss, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1860. Fine and unusual silver gilt and enamel, pearlset centre second watch with special escapement.

C. Three body, Empire, with reeded band, split-pearl set bezels, pendant and bow, the back blue enamel panel painted with a fine scene depicting two savages attacked by a lion. Hinged gilt glazed cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman nmerals. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Gilt brass fully engraved with a floral decoration, "Chinese" calibre with free standing barrel, single wheel duplex escapement, three-arm balance with screws, flat balance spring and regulator. Signed on the dial and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
