Noll and Guex a Paris, Swiss, circa 1790. Fine and elegant, 18 ct. gold and enamel watch.
C. Double body, Directoire, the bezel with champleve enamel decoration (slightly restored), the back of blue translucent enamel over engine-turning, painted with a scene of two maidens paying tribute to the altar of Love, the border with paillone decoration . D White enamel with Breguet numerals. Gold skeletonised hands. M. Hinged gilt brass, flat calibre, the fusee and the barrel passing through the back plate secured by a large half-moon bridge, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel endpiece. In very good condition. Signed Guex on the dial and Noll on the back plate. Diam. 54 mm.
