Wurm, Biedermeier, Austrian, circa 1830. Fine and unusual, small 14 ct. gold gem set Zappler timepiece, with special escapement and visible balance.
C. Repousse, chased and engraved, designed as a small bracket clock, the repousse front face finely chased with garland of flowers and acanthus in the baroque style, set with garnets and split pearls, garnet set bezel, balance aperture above the dial, pine cone finial, side, top and back panels engraved with foliage decoration. D. Engineturned with Roman numerals. Gold Breguet hands. M. Shaped brass full plate with going barrel, star-wheel duplex escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with green translucent enamelled rim oscillating over a gold engineturned plate, flat balance spring, garnet and pearl set straight line cock. Signed on the back plate. h1 very good condition. Dim. 65 x 40 x 23 mm.
