Henri Jacot, Paris, No.3946, circa 1870. Fine gilt bronze, eight day going, Petite Sonnerie, quarter repeating carriage clock with alarm, in original fitted travelling box.

C. Gilt bronze "Gorge", glazed on four sides and top. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and subsidiary alarm setting chapter. Frosted and gilt dial plate blued steel "spade" hands. M. Brass rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued steel flat balance spring and regulator. Striking, repeating and alarm on gongs with button on the top and Strike/Silent lever in the base. Henri Jacot Trade mark on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 14 x 9 x 8 cm., excluding the handle.
