Paul Garnier, Paris, No. 5952, circa 1850. Very fine silvered bronze, eight-day going, hour and half hour striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm.

C. Silvered bronze "baroque", glazed four sides and top, fully decorated in high relief with rocaille and floral ornaments. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Subsidiary alarm setting dial. Blued steel "spade" hands. Frosted and gilt dial-plate. M. Brass rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking train, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued steel flat balance spring and regulator. Striking, repeating and alarm on a gong with button on the top. In good condition. Dim. 13 x 110 x 8.5 cm, excluding the handle.
