C. A. Richard & Cie., Paris, made for G. Edward and sons, London, Paris & Glasgow, circa 1910. Fine gilt bronze, eight-day going hour and half-hour striking and repeating carriage clock.

C. Gilt bronze, "boite jonc", glazed for sides and top. D. Light grey enamel with Gothic Roman numerals in white cartouches, outer minute rin and inner centre rosette. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Brass rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued steel flat balance spring and regulator. Striking and repeating on a gong with button on the top. Signed on the dial by the retailer, maker's trade-mark on the back plate. In very good condition. Dim. 13.5 x 9 x 8 cm, excluding the handle.
