Ane. Mon.B. Haas Jne. & Cie., Haas Neveux & Cie. Srs. 5 Quai du Mont Blanc, Geneve, 7, rue Scribe, Paris, No. 41233, circa 1907. Very fine and small 18 ct. pink gold, keyless pocket chronometer with First Class Bulletin from the Observatory of Geneva at the timing contest organised in 1908.

C. Three body, massive, "demi-bassine", polished. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with mention of the First Class Bulletin and a dedication. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, gilt outer Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 16"', nickel plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, bearing the Geneva quality marks, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, "Extra adjustment" by Henri Wherli fils, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve and eccentric micrometric index. Signed on the dial and cuvette. In very good condition with photocopies of the records of the timing contest. Diam. 46 mm.

Timing Contest : - Mean average daily rate + / - 0"38 - Restart period + 0"60 - Error of compensation per degree C + / - 0"151 - Mean error in 6 positions + / - 0"72 With 164.1 marks, this chronometer didn't obtained a Mention. The first in the trial gained 268.4 and the last 201.4, on a possible maximum of 300, but it's extremely rare to find small pocket chronometer with First Class Bulletin.
