Frizon a Paris, Circa 1690. Fine gilt brass, leather covered Louis XIV "Oignon" with central winding.

C. Double body "Oignon", shagreen covered with gold pin-work decoration. D. Gilt copper with blue Roman numerals on white enamel cartouches, with inner ring for quarter and half hour divisions, the centre engraved with inhabited foliage. Single blued steel hand. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance set with a mock pendulum, gilt brass cock with pendulum aperture, engraved with inhabited foliage. Signed on the back plate. h1 good condition. Diam. 56 nun.
