?Retrograde Days of The Week, Triple Date Calendar? French. Made circa 1860. Fine and unusual, gilt brass, eight day going, hour and half hour-striking, hour repeating carriage clock with triple date and alarm.

C. Multi-piece, gilt brass, ?corniche?, glazed on four sides and top. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals and outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the date and months, alarm setting and sector for retrograde days of the week. Blued steel ?trefoil? hands. M. Gilt brass rectangular with spring barrels for the going and the striking trains, silvered platform with Swiss ?swan neck? lateral lever escapement, monometallic balance with timing screws, blued steel flat balance spring, striking, repeating and alarm on a bell.
