?Quarter Repeating? Bailly, Rue de Richelieu, a Paris, No. 1034. Made circa 1810. Very fine and rare, quarter repeating, 18K gold pocket watch with double-wheel duplex escapement.
C. Three-body, ?Empire?, reeded bezel and band, the back engine turned and with a central oval cartouche, loose ring bow. Hinged gilt metal cuvette. D. White enamel by Luard, Breguet numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 40 mm., frosted gilt, standing barrel, double-wheel duplex escapement with polished steel escape wheel, three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, the escapement jewelled, repeating on two square-section gongs activated by a slide in the band. Dial and cuvette signed. Diam. 46 mm.
