?Minute Repeater? Dent, Maker to the Queen, 28, Cockspur Street & 4 Royal Exchange, London, No 12426, case hallmarked 1881 and 1910. Very fine 18K gold, half hunting-cased minute-repeating keyless pocket watch.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", polished back, later front with glazed aperture and blue champlevé enamel radial Roman chapter ring, milled grove in the band for the repeat slide, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary sunk seconds at IX. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 43 mm (18.5??), frosted gilt, 3/4 plate, going train jeweled to the center in screwed chatons, 20 jewels, lateral English type lever escapement with lift on the pallets, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs through activated slide in the band. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 55 mm.
